Meet Our Management

  • Jodie Williams
    Hospital Manager

    Jodie was born in Fontana, California and raised in Perris,California.  She has three sons, eldest Derek, middle Devone and youngest Dezmund, and 2 granddaughters. Jodie has an extensive background in the veterinary industry dating back to her first job at PetCo in 1995 and she is actively involved in fundraising for her boys’ sports teams and their school.  Jodie has been with Riverside Regional Veterinary Group since 1998.  In her spare time you can find her watching movies, cooking and at the game cheering for her boys.

  • Krystal Jones
    Front Office Supervisor

    Krystal has been with Riverside Regional Veterinary Group since 2008. She has been an extremely versatile member of the staff and has even done months of shifts on night crew. She is an avid proponent of rescue and TNR and has single handedly trapped over 20 cats for sterilization and vaccination in order to keep populations healthy and disease free. She has a dog named Rocky, and helps with her family member’s pets as well. In her spare time she loves to push her boundaries at the gym, and play with her niece.

  • Felisa Esquivel
    Front Office Assistant Supervisor

    Hired August 2014

    Felisa loves helping, overseeing, and training the reception and pharmacy technicians. She is family-oriented and enjoys keeping the front office running smoothly. The longer she works at RRVG, the more she loves it. Felisa’s favorite breeds are American Bullies and Pitties.

  • Brittany Joswiak-Nunez RVT
    Day & Night Shift Treatment Supervisor

    Hired December 2014

    Brittany graduated from Carrington College Pomona in 2014 with an AS degree and was awarded her RVT in 2015. She is passionate about advancing staff skills, sharing knowledge, and managing critical patient anesthesia and emergency care triage. Brittany values the supportive team, variety of cases, and the hospital’s commitment to patient care and staff development. Her favorite breed is the Poodle, and she enjoys caring for critically ill patients needing extra support.

  • Richard James Taylor, Jr.
    Laboratory Supervisor

    Hired 1985

    Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and oversees the laboratory at RRVG. He is dedicated to continuously improving the quality of care provided. Richard’s favorite breeds to work with are Australian Shepherds and Border Collies.

  • Janaka Childs
    Lead Nightshift Technician

    Hired May 2020

    Janaka holds Associate's degrees in Speech Communication and Humanities and graduated from Platt College’s Veterinary Technician Program. She thrives in the fast-paced, unpredictable environment of emergency veterinary medicine, valuing the opportunity to make a difference in critical moments. Janaka loves working at RRVG because every day is meaningful and different, with a strong commitment to quality medicine and emergency care. Her favorite breed is the Sphynx cat.

  • Carissa Lohse
    Day Shift Lead Vet Tech, Internship Supervisor, Safety Coordinator

    Hired January 2020

    Carissa is currently pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Nursing at Purdue University, with an anticipated graduation in May 2027. Her veterinary interests focus on orthopedic surgery and critical care. She values working with a supportive team, continuous learning, and managing diverse and complex cases. Carissa’s favorite breeds are the stubborn ones: Pitbulls, English Bulldogs, and Rottweilers.

  • Kayla Lovett RVT
    Assistant Treatment Supervisor

    Hired 2019


    Kayla holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Gonzaga University (2013–2017) and an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Stanbridge University (2018–2020). Her professional interests span emergency medicine, marine mammal care, exotic animal medicine, and working with zoo and big cat species. Kayla values the high quality of medicine practiced at RRVG, the hands-on experience she gains daily with patients, and the camaraderie and laughter she shares with her coworkers. Her favorite animals to work with include Siberian Huskies, Labrador Retrievers, Beaucerons, and all orange cats.

  • Michelle Torres
    Lead CSR – Nights

    Hired 2019

    Michelle completed her Pharmacy Technician training at North-West College in May 2016 and earned her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology from Platt College in September 2019. She loves the ability to connect with a wide variety of dog and cat breeds, as well as getting to know their owners on a personal level. For Michelle, every interaction is an opportunity to build meaningful connections, which she finds truly awesome. She describes RRVG as a very warm and loving environment where everyone is eager to teach and help each other out. While she enjoys working with all breeds for their unique characteristics, she’s always especially excited when a dachshund comes in.
