Laparoscopic Spay (Ovariectomy)
Ideal for pets 50 lbs and heavier, and typically 1 year or older. This minimally invasive surgery removes only the ovaries through small incisions using a camera and specialized tools.
Benefits include smaller incisions, less pain, faster healing, and quicker recovery compared to traditional spays.
Traditional Spay vs. Laparoscopic Spay:
- Traditional Spay: Larger incision, removal of ovaries and uterus, longer recovery.
- Laparoscopic Spay: Smaller incisions, removal of ovaries only, faster healing and recovery.
Laparoscopic Gastropexy
Recommended for large, deep-chested dogs (50 lbs+), such as Great Danes, Dobermans, and Boxers. This surgery prevents bloat (gastric dilatation-volvulus) by attaching the stomach to the abdominal wall via small incisions.
Compared to open surgery, laparoscopic gastropexy offers smaller incisions, less trauma, shorter procedure time, and faster recovery.
Veterinary Endoscopic Services
We use flexible and rigid endoscopy to diagnose and treat internal conditions with minimal invasiveness. This technology reduces pain and speeds recovery.
Types of Endoscopy:
- Diagnostic Endoscopy: Visual examination to aid diagnosis.
- Surgical Endoscopy: Minimally invasive surgeries using specialized instruments.
- Interventional Endoscopy: Procedures such as foreign body removal and biopsies.
Applications include gastrointestinal, respiratory, urinary, and musculoskeletal systems.
Benefits include reduced complications, less pain, and faster healing compared to traditional surgery.
